Department of Vocational Studies :

The department of career professional studies, aims at working towards changing the community through research and engagement. This department further works with the vulnerable community to empower them using the professional skills. The areas which we work towards achieving include but are limited to the following:

  1. Health research
  2. Education and Learning
  3. Poverty and Nutrition
  4. Sanitation and Access to clean Water
  5. General Community problem

This department is further responsible for working with our stakeholders and community to achieve our corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals and objectives. The Vocational skills education program is Informatics Management Institute’s job creation programs primarily designed with productive, functional and marketable skills for the unemployed youths in the countryside and in West Nile particularly. It's designed to cater for especially the youth/persons without formal education.

Learning Outcomes :

At the of the training the learners should be able to apply and use the skills to help communities and gain for a better livelihood.

Department Curriculum :

IMI intends to have vocational skills in areas that will primarily target the youth who have not gone for formal education and students from other tertiary institutions who desire to acquire functional and marketable skills.

All these skills will be considered, however gradually. These vocational short course plans will take a period not exceeding Six (6) Months each or less depending on the area chosen. We shall always keep you updated.

Department Objectives :

The objectives of the program are as follows:

  • To research about general community problems.
  • To equip learners with technical and vocational training for the unemployed youths.
  • To equip the youths with skills that would enable them to be self-employed and self-reliant.
